"A House Made Of Spun Glass" is a wonderful of 2 women living parallel lives & 1 of them is fortunate enough to have a family that ♥ her while the other 1 has cut her self off from all but her career...........it is just funny that 1 of the 1st woman's family is Bruce Wayne............Batman natch! ;)
Babs is fighting against a new enemy named Gretel who has mind control powers tied to the # 338.............& she has used them on Bruce.............so we get to see Babs solve a mystery & fight Batman................& we find out Bruce & Babs feelings toward each other! & it all gets rounded out with more of Babs' past..........although we still do not know if she was ever Oracle. :(
Babs' story is driven by Gail Simone's fabulous writing which can be funny & caring & exciting all at once! I have gushed over her writing before though! :)
Misters Syaf & Cifuentes & Arreola's art work is absolutely lovelie in this ish! Perhaps the best of the series! Gretel is a great looking new enemy for Babs & Babs' mom looks more distinctive from Babs this ish...........but may be I am just in ♥ over the hug Babs & Bruce share! :)
I can only point to 2 things that I was less than happy about............Babs looks like a teen ager when she should be a grown woman & I miss Oracle! :( Or is that only 1 thing? `;S
But this may be my favorite ish of this series so far so I will have to go back to 1 of my past favs to honor the "new" Batgirl..............

"To Drown The World Part One" sees Kate Kane in her new role as an agent of the Department Of Extranormal Operations with her.............partner?.............Cameron Chase.
This story is about Kate trying to find the children that she has been looking for for most of this series. We jump around in time to see the different characters.............Kate as Kate, Kate as Batwoman, Cameron Chase, Kate's father & cousin Bette................Flamebird natch! ;)..................Detective Maggie Sawyer, the villain named Maro.............in a story that is very much non linear but is very fulfilling by the end! Fabulous job by Misters Williams & Blackman! :)
The art work is by the new team lead by Amy Reeder............she is very very very very good.............but J.H. Williams III art work is why we have a Batwoman! But Amy Reeder I think will make Kate her own eventually! :)
Perhaps it is not the best ish of the series but Kate is as ever a joy to read! ♥
