Kara's Comic Blog: ツ 2nd Annual Kara Awards!!!!!! ~ The Year In Review ツ

Hi!!!!!!! I am back!!!!!!! & on the red carpet just in time for my 100th blog post & the 2nd Annual Kara Awards!!!!!!!! :*)

My computer broke just after my last post & I have been trying to do something special for this post............so over the next several days I will be posting the Kara Awards............or the SGs as they are ♥ingly known! lol! ;)

& what do you think of the 100th blog cover above that my bf is still working on? I will post the final version before the end of the SGs!!!!! :)

Cohosting the SGs with me this year is the hunkalicious Captain America himself................Mister Chris Evans!!!!!!!! ;9

Before Chris & I get to the 1st SG lets take a look back at the comic book year that was 2012 shall we? :)

At Marvel Comics the big 2011 cross over "Fear Itself" was just ending at the start of 2012.............with 3 ishes that untold the whole story! :S

DC Comics was continuing on with the new 52 plan & beginning to announce the 1st set of replacements for series that were not doing all that well.........

..............not that that was a problem for Bruce Wayne as in "Batman" the cross over "Court Of Owls" was just staring to heat up! :)

Comix fans had to be content with "Underworld Awakening" & "Chronicle" for super hero like action until "Ghost Rider 2" was released on February 17th.............until "The Hunger Games" (♥) on March 23rd............but that may be a girl thing ;) ............until.................

............"Avengers" took the world by storm!!!!!! ♥ed it! *kisseschris&rdj!*

Back in the world of real books DC was beginning the series of mini series called "Before Watchmen".............

...............Marvel was celebrating the 50th anniversary of Spider-Man by having the 'real' Peter Parker meet the Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales...............

.............& Mark Waid was ending his "Incorruptible" & "Irredeemable" comix for Boom! before moving on to do more freelance writing. :/

At just about this time my computer broke! :(

But the world of comix kept spinning.............just as Peter Parker spun a new web in "The Amazing Spider-Man"............a fab movie that had the misfortune to open just ahead of.................

.................the final episode of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy "The Dark Knight Rises". While completely brilliant it was over shadowed by the Aurora, Colorado tragedy at its opening............for which I still cry for the victims. :'(

On the anniversary of the new 52 'reboot' DC printed #0 ishes for all of their titles to provide more back ground to the characters. At about the same time Marvel said that they were going to do a sortof reboot & start most of their titles over but not change the back story...............they called it 'Marvel Now' & had it start from the end of the company cross over.................

..............'Avengers Versus X-Men' or 'A vs X'..............where..............spoiler alert!!!!!!!!!...............

"The Walking Dead" started a new television season on AMC & stayed the best show on there is!!!!!! ;)

& the new season meant.................

...................Halloween!!!!!!!!! & I got to be 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer The Musical'!!!!!!!!! lol! Get it? ;))))

& then I got to go to Halcon...........Atlantic Canada's largest sci fi & fantasy & comic book convention! Where................

................Gail Simone signed a comic book for me!!!!!!!! XD

& then at my LCBS............local comic book shop natch! ;b ..................the following week...............
