Kara's Comic for Comic Book Week February 13th, 2013 is "The Punchline"......................the conclusion of "Death Of The Family".......................

Well! I have seen some reviews of this ish & the whole story line & while this is was a little under whelming.........................spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............................I am just happy that no 1 died!!!!!!!!!!!! The New 52 has been very depressing & dark & while I ed the scarie Joker I was soooooooooo happy that Alfred & Babs & Dick & Jim & Tim & Jason & even Damian all survived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

The art work was fabulous..................I do not think that I have read any complaints about the fab Greg & Jonathan & Fco in their very dark & twisted & kindof sketchie! :)

The lettering was suitable but after the whole story I am not sure if the Joker's 'crazy' font was really necessary or not....................but I do not think that it hurt. :S

Scott Snyder................although I was I much bigger fan of his Dick as Batman than Bruce. & while the story ending was a little bit of a let down I am not sure if it could have been handled any better. The members of the Bat Family have been left with a radioactive element..............called 'Ha' ;b .......................that appears to repel them....................I think? Although it could also be that they just do not trust Bruce...............9,9

I am just sooooooooooo happy that they all survived! Especially Dick!  ;9

& the scene of the faces on the dinner plates was sooooooooooo.........................just creepy! 80

RATING: 8 Dick's bums out of 10!!!!!!!!! (yay!)

Kara's 1st Comic Book for Comic Book Week January 30th, 2013 is "Hawkeye #7"...............Marvel's tribute to the victims of 'Super Storm Sandy'................& part of writer Matt Fraction's earnings for this ish are to be donated to the Red Cross to aid those in need in New York & New Jersey.

Clint Barton Hawkeye helps his neighbor Grills & his dad in a house flood in Queens..........drawn lusciously by Steve Lieber.............& Kate Bishop Hawkeye finds looters while looking for medicine in New Jersey.............drawn ably by Jesse Hamm.

This is not my fav ish of the series but it is a fitting get well card for many hurting people. *hugs!* :(

RATING: 8½ Kates out of 10!!!!!!!!

"Six months from now, who's even going to remember Dollar Bill?" ~ Byron Lewis / Mothman

writer: Len Wein
artist / letterer / cover: Steve Rude
colorist: Glen Whitmore
variant covers: Darwyn Cooke / Jim Lee with Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair
assistant editor: Camilla Zhang
editor: Mark Chiarello

(Watchmen created by Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons)

Kara's 2nd Comic is "I Want To Be In Pictures"..............a 1 shot that tells the story of actor William Benjamin Brady.................Dollar Bill natch! ;b ...................that leads up to the scene shown only in 1 picture in the original "The Watchmen" series & movie................the hero Dollar Bill dying to a criminals gun with his cape tangled in a revolving door. :'(

This ish has no huge consequences & we know the out come from the very start but Len Wein & Steve Rude are living legends that make me feel sad & happy for William...................I recommend this ish! :')

RATING: Another 8½ Kates out of 10!!!!!!!!

*hugs&kisses!* ツ*
